FAQ

  • What time will you arrive?

If you’ve selected the full day or Prep-Call to Dinner package I’ll be with you three hours before the ceremony to capture all of the fun of prep.

If you’ve gone for Ceremony - Dancing I’ll be there one hour before to photograph your guests and room details.

Most make up artists already do this but please make sure you’re second last to get your makeup done.

  • What time should I have my ceremony?

The earlier you have your wedding, the more time you have celebrating with family and friends

it also depends on the time of year. If you’re getting married between Nov and Feb go earlier. 12:30pm - 1:30pm is ideal.

We’re spoiled for light in the summer months so unless you’re travelling to a different location to get your couple photos, any time is a good time.

  • What happens if it rains?

    Welcome to Scotland!!

No matter which month you decide to tie the knot, there is always the possibility of rain.

Group shots will usually be completed inside if there is an appropriate area (your group photos may need to be smaller)

Unless it’s a storm, we’ll go out for the couple shots. I always have a couple of brollies in the car, bring flats (you’ll thank me).

“A wet knot is a strong knot”

  • Is there anything I need to do?

Although you can leave most things up to me, there’s a few things you can do to help me out and it’s always appreciated.

For prep, if you could have your shoes, jewellery, perfume, tie, sporran, cufflinks a copy of your invitation and anything else you’re using or wearing on the day grouped together somewhere so I can quickly grab it and photograph your details.

Make sure you’ve given your group shot list to one of your wedding party. This is great for quickly rounding people up who are needed after the ceremony for photos.

  • Will my dress get dirty?

Honestly? Probably. If you’re lucky enough to be married in one of Aberdeen/shires gorgeous country estates, or travelling anywhere that hasn’t been bleached then your dress will get a little bit messy.

Wedding dresses are worn once so wear the hell out of it and enjoy it, you'll be surprised what professional wedding dress cleaners can do, so even if you want to gift your dress or sell it afterwards, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Dresses are there for a day, photos are there for a lifetime

  • When will I get my photos?

I aim to get your gallery to you in 6 - 8 weeks. Sometimes it’s sooner and in the Summer months it may be a tad longer. I don’t rush through editing, each photo is a memory that you’ll treasure, but if I need more time, I’ll always let you know.

  • When do we meet?

We’ll have our final meeting to go over the fine details and timings of your day about a month before your wedding. At this point you’ll know who will be attending for group shots and a solid idea of the timings for your day.

I am always available if you have questions, need suggestions and just to float ideas round so if you want to have a quick zoom call, meet for a coffee or a chat on Whatsapp, just get in touch.

  • How do I book?

    Booking is easy!

Once you’ve selected your package and any add ons just get in touch with me to secure your date.

A contract will need to be signed and there is a £200 booking fee.

    And you’re done (see, easy).

  • Who will my 2nd shooter be?

All of my 2nd shooters are real life full time photographers and all are amazing at what they do.

As they all run their own companies I can’t guarantee somebody specific, but rest assured you’ll be in very safe hands.
